Default How did they nerf ursan?

I may be a bit of a nonce but hoew exactly did they nerf ursan? The developers update says:

"To address a big part of the power of the Blessings we decided to make it so that players can only have one active half of the time. This inability to keep a Blessing up permanently will make profession and skill choices matter while the Blessing is recharging. Players will have to play more tactically when using a Blessing as their Health and armor will drop when the Blessing wears off."

but the new decription says:

"Elite Form. You lose all effects and take on the aspect of the bear. For 60 seconds , you have 100 armor and 750...790...800 Health. All your attributes are set to 0 and bear attacks replace your skills. "
with a recharge of 60 seconds.

The only nerf i see if that they made ursan strike slashing damage? *confused*

Recharge upped to 60 seconds. That's how. It's right there. ...honestly?

Plus they state it is touch damage now. I think it used to be full damage thru armor now with the slashing condition some of the damage can be reduced by armor or something to that effect.

1 - It removes ALL effects. Not just enchantments.
2 - 1st skill does 1 packet of armor ignoring damage, and a 2nd packet of slashing damage.
3 - 2nd skill knocksdown only one target.
4 - It's a Form. Can't be Arcane Mimicries.
5 - Lasts for 60s, recharges in 60s.
6 - No more energy degeneration.

I think that's about it.

Does it really remove ALL effects? Would be odd if it removed negative area effects.

It now lasts 60 seconds, and it can't be kept up for longer than that in any way.
The recharge is increased to 60 seconds, so you're gonna be spending half the time using the other skills on your bar.
It gives the user 800 health no matter if your base is 300 health or 500.
It gives the user 100 armor, so it makes no difference if you're a monk or a warrior.
It also removes all "effects" which includes stances (was only enchantments before).
Ursan Strike now deals 40...75 Slashing damage, which means it's no longer armor ignoring. Still effective vs casters, but not so great against high armor professions.

So I'd say the biggest nerfs, are the "only usable half time" and "reduced damage".

Ursan lasts 60 seconds only.

You only get 100 armor and 800 health.

The KD skill is touch range.
The other is half 75 damage and 75 slashing damage (affected by armor).

Any effects on you end.

It is now a form. (cannot arcane mimicry it)

It technically probably does but those effects are reapplied to you every second secretly anyways.

And let's not forget that now it sets all your attributes to zero, so most weapons you carry will now be that less effective during Ursan because you won't have the proper req for whatever you are carrying, cutting it's damage output in half. So, really the Ursan damage is about the ONLY damage you'll be doing for those 60 seconds it is on.

Does removing effects also include consumables?

Basicly its now terrible. With Ursan you always sacrificed utility for dps and pbaoe knockdowns - now the knockdown is single target only and the dps is significantly reduced, especially in hard mode. The armour level of the majority of 'Ursans' has been reduced, and the blessing needs to be refreshed every 60 seconds. The nature of the health bonus now means there is likely to be significant health spikes on Ursan players at the end of the blessing especially if they are suffering from DP. ie 800 hp with ursan to 400hp when the blessing ends. Monks in ursan teams - if people still run them that is - are going to have to be psychic.

They completely killed the skill .... good work anet .... you forgeting that who plays the game its not only the 20 or 30 guys that theyr hobby is post in forum complaining about ursan .... at least remove the elite status from the skill so people can fill bars with alternative build with elite skill for use when Ursan its recharging ... now would be fun to see if all people that liked Ursan stoped playing the game

The knockdown is NOT single target, it functions exactly like it used to.
It's a bit confusing since in the update it says "touch range" and previously it was "adjacent", but "touch range" == "adjacent", so there is no change to the knockdown.

The halved duration means that now at least six members of the team needs to bring Ursan to get permanent perma-knockdown like one previously could with just three ursans on the team, meaning that an ideal Ursan team now would be 7 necro-rit healers and a ranger-rit with Quickening Zephyr, all with Ursan. That way those who are in Ursan can do the stuff Ursan does, while the ones who are not can buff & heal.

Also the damage output has been buffed for both Ursan Rage & and Ursan Strike, which partly offsets that half the damage from Ursan Strike is no longer armor-ignoring.

Basically Ursan can still be made to work pretty much like it used to by adjusting tactics a bit.

It cant mimic forms....

Spell. This skill becomes target ally's elite skill (20 seconds). Cannot self-target. No effect if target's elite skill is a form.

Wrong. It mimics and NON-FORM skill.
